10. Liên hệ
Nhà phát triển: Pham Phuoc Man.

This Privacy Policy describes how the PM Smart mobile application ("the App") handles your information. "We", "us", and "our" refer to the developer of the App (see Section 10). We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how data is handled.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
PM Smart is a client application that connects directly to a smart home server you own and control (e.g., Home Assistant). The App does not:
- Collect or store your personal information (name, email, phone number, location, etc.).
- Track your usage, location, or device behavior.
- Use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- Sell or share data with any party for commercial purposes.
- Require an account or user registration.
Except for the push notification relay server (see Section 4), we do not operate any server that receives your data. All home control happens directly between your device and your own smart home server.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data only on your device:
- Access token: stored securely in iOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system.
- Server addresses: the LAN/WAN URLs you enter, stored in the App's on-device storage.
- App preferences: room layouts, device names, language, theme, and similar settings.
- UI state: which devices appear on Home, favorite order, etc.
- Widget and Siri data: a copy of device states is kept in the App's shared container (App Group) on your device so widgets and Siri commands work.
None of this data is sent to us. It may be included in iCloud or computer backups made by iOS, if you have backups enabled.
When you delete the App, iOS removes the App's data; however, the access token in Keychain may be retained by iOS. To erase everything, use "Erase all data" in the App before deleting it.
3. Permissions
The App may request the following iOS permissions:
- Local Network access: required to discover and connect to your smart home server on your home Wi-Fi (LAN).
- Camera access: only used when you tap "Scan QR" to quickly enter an access token. The camera is not used at any other time. No images are stored or transmitted.
- Photos: when you choose "From photo" to import a QR code, only the image you select is processed on your device to read the code. The App does not access your whole photo library and does not upload or store the image elsewhere.
- Notifications: requested only if you choose to enable push notifications (see Section 4).
All permissions are optional. The App still works if you decline, though some features (server auto-discovery, LAN connection, QR scanning, notifications) will be unavailable.
4. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, data flows in two steps:
- Registration: the App sends your own Home Assistant server the device token issued by Apple, along with the device name, device model, iOS version, and App version. Home Assistant needs this information to create the notification service for your phone.
- Sending a notification: when an automation sends a notification, your Home Assistant server sends the device token together with the notification title and message to the push notification relay server we operate on Cloudflare Workers. The relay immediately forwards the notification to Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
The relay server handles data as follows:
- Notification content is neither stored nor logged.
- To prevent abuse, the relay counts notifications per device per day (limit: 200 per day). The counter is keyed by the device token, holds only a number, and is automatically deleted after the day ends (UTC).
- The device token is not used to identify you, track you, or show ads. Notification data is processed only by Cloudflare's infrastructure (which runs the relay) and Apple (which delivers notifications), and is not shared with anyone else.
- If you do not enable notifications, no data passes through this server. When you delete the App, Apple invalidates the device token, so notifications are no longer delivered to your phone. To stop notifications entirely, you can remove the device from the Mobile App integration on your Home Assistant server.
5. Communication With Your Smart Home Server
When you enter a server address and access token, the App communicates directly with that server using HTTPS or HTTP (depending on your configuration). Camera streams (via go2rtc), Siri commands, and widget data also travel directly between your device and your server, not through us.
We recommend using HTTPS, especially for remote (WAN) access, because HTTP connections are not encrypted.
We have no visibility into or control over what data your smart home server processes or stores. Please refer to the privacy policy of your server provider (e.g., the Home Assistant Privacy Policy) for details.
6. Demo Mode
If you use the "Try Demo" feature, the App operates entirely with sample data generated on your device. No requests are made to any smart home server, and no data is sent anywhere.
7. Age
PM Smart is suitable for all ages. The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Third-Party Trademarks
PM Smart is compatible with Home Assistant®, a registered trademark of Nabu Casa, Inc. This App is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nabu Casa.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. If we make a material change to how data is handled, we will announce it in the App or in the App Store release notes before the change takes effect.
10. Contact
Developer: Pham Phuoc Man. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the App's privacy practices, please contact us at phuocmanp@gmail.com.
In short: PM Smart collects no personal data. If you enable push notifications, the device token and notification content are forwarded through our relay server to Apple and are not stored. All other information stays on your device or on a server you control.
